June 28th, 2009, posted in Events

p.s: the post for Urbanscapes will be divided to a few part. Explaining each category of stages held @ the Awesome venue.

Let me hear a wOOt to those who went to KLue Urbanscapes 2009 and rock themselves out!

Its a shame not many people do appreciate the stuff that was thrown to us yesterday. I thought they were damn good especially the stand up comedians, the plays and of course the bands that bust the stereos with their blistering music! wOOts again!

KLue Urbanscapes was held at Sentul Park @ Jalan Ipoh from 12pm to 12am.

THIS IS GOOD! xD

IMG_2576

Ok enough of random pictures. The first part today is of course THE X-LAWN

The X-Lawn Stage is where bands are blasting the stereos with the sounds of the bass, drum and rocking lyrics.

I did not cover all the bands. But i did cover those notable bands that make waves in Malaysia Music Industry.

The first band which i dont know their name but played quite ok music. They are part of XFM AT THE LAWN.

 IMG_2509

The Song was quite ok. =)

After that it was 40 Winks playing at 4.15.

Ok let me tell you , URBANSCAPES YOUR TIMING SUCKS BIG TIME.

40 winks didn’t really play at 4.15. They played later!

GADOH was suppose to be screened at 3.10 but when i went in its half way already. WTF.

Damn Dirty Apes are suppose to perform at 8.30 but when i went in, Sepet is not even ending. WTF.

TOTAL BUMMER OK!

Ok enough. Back to the band.

IMG_2677This is 40 wink.

40 wink has some great songs that got me rocking while i was watching EMP’s play ( Read next post about EMP’s Play). That’s how good they are!

This is the bunch of  fellas pushing everyone around. Rowdy people.

POP SHUVIT

This is my favorite Malaysian Band! The band that can really rock ass! They are Malaysia’s Premier rap/rock band that even make waves in countries such as Japan. In fact, their fan base in Japan is larger than Malaysia. like OMGod right?

They even release an album for the Japanese but decided not to release here for us local fans.

The main singer is Moots who is also a DJ for HITZ.FM

POP SHUVIT. They made the crowd go wild. They brought the house down. They are the man of Urbanscapes X-Lawn. Pop Shuvit was so good that the whole place was pack with people who wants to catch a glimpse of them. I wasted no time to join in the head banging party with the Pop Shuvit themselves.

The songs that Pop Shuvit sang is ( I dont know the first one), Oh! Sizuka, Old School Rocka and they even did Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal to pay tribute to him. And the last song that got the crowd screaming wildly is Mara Bahaya.

The crowd even sang the chorus of Mara Bahaya! Man, words can describe how Pop Shuvit rock the stage that afternoon. It was mind blasting!

As for the girls, The Marketplace is just the right place for you to burn your pocket dry. This year’s addition is the Lah’Lah Land ( Damn this sound so wrong. Please no Siham Land too) which organizes successful flea market around the city. So prepare your cash to flow out tomorrow as it will be Shopping Frenzy girlssssssssss.
