Thanks to Nigel Sia , we bloggers again manage to watch The Ugly Truth at Cineleisure Damansara
(why must always be there? damn far for me okay.. =.=)
Like the title says, the movie is all about the Ugly Truth that girls should know about men.
How the think, how they act, how they feel and what not.
Well, to be honest the reason why i watch that movie is because everyone was hyping that Gerard Butler is acting in it. Well, as a guy, typical guy to be exact, i dont have a clue about him at all. But since i was offered a pair of tix, i thought why not?
Initially, my expectations were very low as i thought this movie is a chick flick movie. But once i’ve found out that it is a comedy romance movie, it went sky high!
Thank God, the director did a great job as he made me laugh my ass off the whole night. The jokes are damn eccentric as it explains how guys really thought about relationship and how relationship is supposed to be.
But well, those are meant as a joke to attract viewership to his show. Off set, he is just another ordinary guy who believes in love.
I guess all of us believe in love. =)
Here is one of my favourite quote in the movie:
Mike: “…billions and billions, wasted on this psychobabble bullshit. Now listen up ladies, ’cause I’m only gonna say this once and it’s just three little words…men are simple…we cannot be trained. and all of this, ‘Men are from Venus” crap is a waste of your time and money. If you want to be a lonely hag, then keep reading these books, but if you want a relationship, heres how you get one…It’s called a Stairstepper, get on it, and get skinny. and get some trashy lingerie while your at it, because at the end of the day all were interested in is looks. No one falls in love with your personality at first sight.
Mike: Never assume a woman is easy or a prude. You have to peel back the layers to see what she is all about.
Assistant: Wow, that was almost enlighting
Mike: Because when you do peel back the layers…her lady garden awaits!
Assistant: And he’s back.
This movie is directed by Robert Luketic and it deserve a very high verdict.
But beware as the jokes are really really dirty. They rate the movie 18sx for a reason you know. =)
OH YEAH! Not to forget, the script writers. OMGOD, you guys rock. Because of you, you made the movie as funny as hell. And as dirty as your ass can be! WOOTS! Thumbs up!

So if anyone of you are looking for a good laugh but at the same time wanting to share the joy of love together with you other half, unless you are a dead boring person, give this movie a try this weekend. You will be chuckling your way out of the cinema. Trust me, i know.
After all, JESS watched it twice ya know. =P
