Random post. haha.
Can you believe it, my lecturer calls his students babies. Ok, I don’t know what trigger him to do that, but he does it all the time. For instance, he will say “Ok all babies, copy the notes” or “How many babies is absent?”. Its pretty cute actually, the fact that he calls us that. (oh by the way, he is from India. LOL) Today was even worse, he calls a student “Mr. Singh Baby”. That guy is a singh, and he dont know his name, so he calls him that. WTF? That make me laugh my ass off for real.
Did you read the headlines in today’s newspapers? Math’s And Science are once again reverted back to Bahasa Malaysia. Its back to square one, babeh. Ok, I have nothing against BM actually, in fact, BM is my strongest subject. Its just that, I think this decision is just not right. English is the most important language now and these subjects are being taught in English in Universities and Colleges. In fact, i think the move to make Math’s and Science to be taught in English by Tun Mahathir was a brilliant move. When i enter the uni world, i find its easier to understand what my lecturer is saying when she was teaching us Mathematics. I think the move by Tun certainly help most of us to brush our English. Just look at me, English is my mother tongue, and yet i could not master it and what’s worse, i got criticize for the errors i made. Look, if someone like me, who’s first language is English could not make it to the ‘superior’ level and even get criticize for my low proficiency in this language, what more the others who don’t speak English? There are many ways to actually retain our national language, just not by jeopardizing our younger generation’s future. I think the government should consider his decision again to find a better alternative. I also hope the education minister is not doing it to fish votes for the Manik Urai by-election. God Bless Malaysia
