Just recently, I received an email saying that i was chosen as the top 500 social media users and they gonna have some briefing at e@Curve.

I thought, we are really this TOP 500 SOCIAL MEDIA USERS IN MALAYSIA. LOLLL

Until we enter the cinema hall where they brief us… *jeng jeng jeng*

WE ARE ACTUALLY BETA TESTERS FOR THEIR WEB BASED PROGRAM THAT THEY DEVELOPED.

Ok so what really is Project 500?

Project 500 is a web based program that combines all the SMN sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Hi-5, Youtube, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Flickr and much much more.

Currently it is still in close beta. So you cant sign up. Only the so called top 500 social media users are able to use it.

*Kena con kan?* ahhaha

So yea. This is the interface of the program. Honestly, the interface isn’t appealing + its too messy.

As this is still in beta, there are a lot of flaws which i would like to point out so that you can improve on it. This program will work. Only if you fix all of the bugs and missing stuff.

Bugs:

1. Followers and Following not accurate.

2. When it’s updating my twitter status and FB, everything else just freeze. But they did something already and the freeze wasn’t that bad as earlier.

3. The email – Gmail to be exact only shows the latest email as of July 2009.

4. POP3 Email not working.

5. You cant multitask with Messenger.

6. Damn laggy.

7. Um i think thats all, cuz i gave up after the 2nd bug. =p Seriously, how to use when it keeps freezing every time i wanna update my status?

8. My twitter and FB status is currently empty ( DONT KNOW WHY. LOL. )

Stuff that are missing

1. Twitter – No replies, DM, Retweet, Profile, Search and all those basic twitter functions

2. Same goes to FB.

3. Mass Upload for Pictures and Videos.

4. Blogging tools like Windows Live Writer.

5. Dont do just for Gmail, do it for Yahoo and Hotmail.

6. Messenger must have its on pop up window. So that you can organize the chatboxes.

7. Please fix the laggggggggggggg

8. Able to choose my photos to be upload to what site.

9. No character limit for twitter ( FIXED )

10. When adding messenger features, add all those basic features too like DP, PM, Webcam and etc etc.

11. OH YES PLEASE MAKE A DESKTOP APP. It would be more convenient. Oh yes, and a java app for my HP too.

12. Remember me feature for WAP version.

I think thats all. Most of the bugs, the fixed it already. So im kinda using it now, but not heavily cuz after all it is web based. I rather get a desktop app. Really. Consider it okay?

Anyway all the best for this program. I hope by Jan 15, every flaws and missing stuff will be added. =)
