What shyte am i up to?

Photos that teach.

I’ve live my whole live in KL ever since i was born 19 years ago. I live in a satellite town (Cheras)  that is just 15 minutes drive to town. All my schools are also located in town. My first school is SMK St. John then i move to Methodist Boys School and then to SMK Seri Bintang Utara and then back to MBS. I am a pure KL-ites.

When i was schooling in Methodist, Petaling Street, Central Market and Kota Raya has been synonym with the term lepak in my dictionary. I frequent there a lot, whether to yamcha, food hunting, lepak, cyber-cafe or even for tuition ( Kasturi. I am sure you guys know where it is. =) )

But one thing for sure, I’ve never for once capture the vibrant life of the people in these area. I’ve never for once, pause and look around me and admire the hustle and bustle of the city life.

I’ve always wanted to capture the life of Petaling Street and the likes, but I was too afraid of what people might think of me and how will they react when i take their picture.

So well last Tuesday, I had the privilege to follow Joyce to downtown KL. He was doing a personal documentary. I have to be his ‘body guard’ while he set up his stuff. LOL. But at the same time, he taught me a lot of photography skills like err… shooting shapes and etc.

So yeah.. Let the pictures do the talking. =)

p.s: don’t expect any extraordinary picture. I am just a nufag. lol. btw.. all pic are taken with a Canon 50mm F1.8 lens courtesy of Joyce unless stated. Since its 50mm i cant take any pictures of buildings and all. That explains why most of the subjects are people.

After this, i promise i am gonna explore KL more. I don’t care. And i will go for food hunt  *hints Mei Yan* in KL! OMGOD! Speaking of it, i

better go get my lunch now. HUNGRY!

Till then, who is up for this, buzz me. =)

  16. Ha ha ha!, Nigel, Mrs Tay here. I haven’t read your blog since I met u at MDG!!! about that barber (I have lots of shots on him) I have learnt my lesson long ago..now I am the “shoot and run” type!! Years back when I followed some youngsters photo group to Malacca, the young girls always ask “uncle can i take your pic?”..not only they said NO!!! they also scowled, ready to POUNCE and EAT you!
